I have a resource you all might find interesting. I use this all the time for upcoming events. It is: brownielocks.com This site will give you information on what is happening each month. It is fun to use. I think y'all will like it. Thanks, Patti
I guess we're all working on August Activities now. Since there are no major holidays in August, this is a good month to go to: brownielocks.com and search for August crazy "celebration" days. August has: National Friendship Day, VJ Day, Cupcake Day, Kool-Aid Day and Root Beer Float Day. There's even a National Underwear Day! Some fun stuff! Here at Concordia we have our annual Luau and I want to put together an "act" for the residents to do. Maybe dress some guys up as hula girls and sing "Tiny Bubbles". Still thinking about that one. Everyone have a good weekend and we'll talk soon! Thanks, Patti
I am putting our August newsletter and calendar in the mail to each of you. We have a busy month ahead. Aug. 2 is National Night Out, which is the night neighbors are to get together and visit each other. We'll do just that and add entertainment for the evening. We are also having a "Community Day" on the 16th, bringing in the police dept for Bella Vista, the Animal Shelter and we have a fantastic AARP Recyling Center in Bella Vista that is sending a representative. There are a few others coming, each will give a short talk, then we'll visit over punch and cookies. Things are hoppin' at Concordia! Talk to y'all soon! Patti
Fall is here and we are getting busier by the day. One of our favorite October events is a Craft Project painting pumpkins. The residents love it and we display the pumpkins throughout the building. The weather is so wonderful now, we have had Grilled Hot Dogs outside and on the 19th we will spend an evening out on our patio. Halloween Party is very big here, we have a contest for residents and employees. It is a fun, fun event. We are also gearing up for Veteran's Week celebrations in November and our 39th Anniversary Party on Nov. 16. Sharon and I are wearing our roller skates! Talk to y'all soon!
This is harder than I thought, but I think it works!
ReplyDeleteThis is working! We'll discuss it at July 5 conference call!
